It’s been a while since I’ve made a quick post and it feels like I’m brushing off the rust. It’s a good thing writing is like riding a bike; once you get going you again, it comes naturally.

A Year Already?

As of yesterday, we’ve officially been in our house a year. Things have been crazy busy the last month, so I feel like the date kind of snuck up on me. In some ways, it feels like yesterday we moved in. In others, it definitely feels like we’ve always been here. I took a trip down memory lane and looked over some of our moving photos. This has got to be one of my favorites.

Elrohir was so helpful while we moved in.

I was concerned that the cats (just the boys at the time) would take time to get comfortable in the new house. Moving them to the new place was a massive stressor for me. Turns out, they are pretty resilient. They were exploring by the end of the first night, and made themselves quite comfortable. So comfortable, in fact, that Elrohir decided that barking orders at me from the cabinets was the pro play.

I am incredibly thankful every day for this house we call home. I am also incredibly thankful for Isaac, who is a hardworking badass who took so much on to make this happen.

A Content Question

So, I am pretty much obsessed with The Great British Bake Off. Season 12 kicks off in a week or so (September 21), and the news has me thinking. I would love to bake my way through some bake off recipes. What could be better than bringing together my love of baking and the Bake Off? I’m sure there is a high chance I will fail some of these bakes, but you’ve got to live a little. The real question is this: do I blog my adventures? Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!

It’s Almost The Weekend

We’ve had a busy few weeks; in honor of our one year house anniversary, we’re finishing what used to be our attic into a living room. Drywall is going up today, but it feels like we’ve been going non-stop to get here. I don’t know about you, but I am ready for the weekend. Here’s some obligatory cat pictures to help us push through to Friday!

Until next time – be well and stay safe!
